Flags, banners, maps, plans, as well as the symbols used on them are common in art and are often used in the field of printmaking. Which meaning do these arrangements of colors, planes and symbols have between the poles of a globalized world without borders on the one side, and the longing for a homeland and a feeling of belonging on the other side?

The exhibition, 2nd LITHOGRAPHY DAYS, AUGUST 31 to SEPTEMBER 16 sponsered by the Münchner Künstlerhausch invite interpretations of the topic in lithography technique. Combinations with other printing techniques are allowed, according to the motto “beyond the borders”.
